[Forest-list] Consulting opportunity: 11 month assignment to prepare two forestry projects in Vanuatu and Solomon Islands

As part of FAO's expanding portfolio of forestry projects in the Pacific, we are seeking to hire a project development specialist to prepare two projects in Vanuatu and the Solomon Islands. Both projects will include a mix of sustainable forest and land management, forest conservation, community forest management, forest carbon monitoring and rural development. These multi-focal area projects will be supported with funding from the Global Environment Facility (GEF), so experience with GEF Project policies and procedures would be a definite advantage, as would knowledge and experience of forestry issues in the Pacific.
