at Landsat to MODIS spatial resolutions using advanced machine
learning methods
(e.g. decision trees, neural networks) suited for wide-area
mapping (e.g.
national scale). An additional goal is to produce
spatially-explicit accuracy
metrics to facilitate further usage of the results by
non-experts. The
candidate is expected to lead the preparation of peer-reviewed
journal papers,
project reports, and conference and outreach presentations. To
