wrote "/I//am looking for a GIS land cover map for Mexico. The more
recent the better, but will take anything. I am particularly interested
in areas near (25 km) the coast from the TX border to the tip of the

*International Geoinformatics Research and Development Journal**(IGRDJ)*
-The IGRDJ journal is a peer review international journal that caters
for scientists, professors, researchers, post-doctoral, scholars and
students who wish to promote and communicate advances in remote sensing,
GIS, GPS, Photogrammetry, LIDAR, SAR, and its integration with
Information Technology with soft computing approaches, Earth Sciences
and Resources and develop a seamless network for Geoinformatics
scientists that contribute to the following areas: Remote Sensing and
GIS for all applications; Geo-information and Technology for Disasters
Management; Health GIS; Advance Geo-Information Technologies; Sensors
and GPS, GNSS, LIDAR-SAR; Photogrammetry, Aerial Photography and etc.;
Computer and Image Processing and related fields; and Civil Engineering
and Technology. All authors are invited to submit complete unpublished
papers, which are not under review in any other conference or journal.
The journal is published in English and it is open to authors around the
world regardless of the nationality. It is currently published 4 times
in a year. Accepted papers will be published online/hard copy and
authors will be provided with printed copies if requested. See authors
guide for manuscript preparation and submission guidelines on IGRDJ
website (http://www.igrdg.com). All submitted papers will be judged
based on their quality by the technical committee and reviewers within
6-8 weeks and if the paper accepted, it would be published within 3
months time. Papers that describe research and experimentation are
encouraged. All paper submissions will be handled electronically and
detailed instructions on submission procedure are available on IGRDJ
website (http://www.igrdg.com). Please submit your paper to
s2pirast at uwaterloo.ca. For more information, contact IGRDJ Journal

*BCN *- Biological Conservation Newsletter (BCN) August 2012 - Issue No.
332 now available at http://botany.si.edu/pubs/bcn/issue/latest.htm The
future of the Biological Conservation Newsletter is under consideration
- continue as is, modify it in some way, or cease production. The main
purpose of the monthly newsletter is twofold: (1) to highlight stories
of conservation research coming out of the Smithsonian Institution; and
(2) to provide a comprehensive list of current literature related to
conservation biology. We would like to understand what you find most
useful, and whether the newsletter should continue. If you have not
already done so, please complete a quick two-minute survey at
http://www.surveymonkey.com/s/F6HRSXS. We also welcome comments about
BCN sent directly to the editor at krupnickg at si.edu
