CONFERENCE UPDATE: REDISCOVERING WOOD, THE KEY TO A SUSTAINABLE FUTURE. BANGALORE, INDIA, 19-22 OCTOBER 2011.
Come to Bangalore and hear from some of the World's leading thinkers about architecture, furniture and design at the international conference on the: "Art and Joy of Wood".
As part of the International Year of Forests, the Government of India, in collaboration with FAO, IUFRO and the IWCS is holding an international conference about the future of wood products. Already, over 200 participants have registered for this event and the programme includes 35 invited speakers, 60 voluntary papers and posters and a number of exhibitors and artisans from all over the World who will come and demonstrate their expertise in traditional and sustainable use of wood products.
The wide-ranging programme will include sessions on:
- green building and architecture
- designing with wood
- wood culture
- SME development
- wood product marketing
- sustainability of wood supply
Registration is still open until 19th September, although places at the conference are filling-up fast. A small number of exhibition booths and sponsorship opportunities are also still available.
